“NPC wishes the Philippine National Police (PNP) a speedy investigation and identification of the suspects behind the crime, as it causes fear and trauma to the lives of Siason and his family,” the Negros Press Club led by Mark Salanga said.

The NPC said that it does not tolerate any form of intimidation, violence, and threats toward their members.

Siason, a past president of the NPC, is working for RPN-DYKB and DYRL-Bacolod.

He suspects that the attack may be work-related and cited previous death threats he received.

The NPC is the oldest press club in the country.

Investigation is ongoing.
