
The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) on Tuesday, April 22, reported the arrest of Police Regional Office-4A's (PRO-4A) most wanted person for repeatedly raping and threatening his 13-year-old cousin in Cainta, Rizal.
Rizal PPO director Col. Felipe Maraggun identified the suspect as"Jay P." He was arrested on April 21 along Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, Quezon City.
Jay P was nabbed by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for five counts of statutory rape under the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, or Republic Act 8353, without bail.
Based on the police report, the first time the victim was raped by her cousin was on Nov. 12, 2022.
She said the suspect threatened to kill her with a butterfly knife after raping her. The crime was repeated four more times with the last one happening on June 21, 2023.
The victim and her mother sought assistance from the police and filed charges against Jay P.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Cainta Police.
