The endorsement came 19 days before Election Day, and further solidifies the local executive support that the former senator has gotten while on the campaign trail.

While in Rizal, Aquino delivered a short speech in front of the local government employees to push for his advocacies of free education and guaranteed jobs.

“Ang pangako natin, kapag binalik po ako ng Rizal sa Senado, itataas po natin ang pondo ng libreng kolehiyo para mas maraming kabataan ang puwedeng makinabang (If Rizal helps me return to the Senate, I promise to increase the funds for free college so more students can benefit),” he said.

The comebacking senator added that he would also push for more funding to cover the allowances of student-beneficiaries.

“Idadagdag pa natin diyan, hindi lang libreng kolehiyo, siguradong trabaho rin (We will add to that, not only free college, but guaranteed employments, too),” the former senator, who authored the Free College Law, said.

Aside from Ynares, who raised his hand at the capitol during Aquino’s visit there on Wednesday, April 23, he was also endorsed by Antipolo City Councilor LJ Sumulong, former governor Ito Ynares and Vice Governor Junrey San Juan.

The former senator, who has just made it into the Magic 12 of various pre-election surveys, also held a motorcade in Baras, Rizal together with San Juan, Rep. Dino Tanjuatco, Board Member Hector Robles, and Baras Vice Mayor KC Robles.

The support from Rizal’s local executives is the latest in a series of endorsements Aquino has received from other local officials, senators, celebrities, influencers, and musicians.
