Senatorial candidate Kiko Pangilinan has encouraged his supporters to counter trolls and fake news peddlers by uploading their videos of them detailing their reasons for voting for him in the May elections.

During a star-studded proclamation rally in Angeles City, Pampanga on Wednesday night, April 23, Pangilinan told his supporters they only need to do three things to help him secure a seat in the Senate once again.
One of these is by uploading their self-filmed videos of support on social media on the remaining days of the campaign period in a bid to fight trolls targeting his candidacy.
He told them to counter fake news peddlers by personalizing their contents.
I-share ninyo (Upload a self-shot video on all your social media accounts. Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube—all of that. State your reason for voting for me. Share it)," Pangilinan asked before his Pampanga crowd.
At siyempre, puso sa puso pa rin (Just upload what is true, what's personal. Help us fight the trolls. Send what we have done to your acquaintances. And of course, it must still be done heart to heart)," Pangilinan added.
The two other things the former senator asked his supporters to do for him were conducting face-to-face and house-to-house campaigns, and convincing at least five voters in the next 18 days.
He urged them to campaign for him and his ally former senator Bam Aquino.
"Pinakapowerful itong face-to-face na house-to-house, word-of-mouth na campaign. Ipapanalo natin, kumbinsihin pa natin (Face-to-face house-to-house and word-of-mouth campaigns are the most powerful. Let us win this, let's convince them further)," Pangilinan said.
Sabihin n'yo, iboto si Kiko at si Bam (And third, convince five voters every day until the 18th day. In the next 18 days, talk to your friends, acquaintances, people waiting in line, in buses, stores, Grab riders, even your ex. Tell them to vote for Kiko and Bam)," Pangilinan added.
High prices of food can be solved, like in the past
In his speech, the former food security secretary said the issues on high prices of food at present can be solved again like what he has done in the past.
If we were able to bring down the prices of rice in the past, if you remember, we can do it again now)," Pangilinan said, stressing that every problem the country faces has a solution.
Pangilinan also stressed that he is not a newbie and inexperienced.
We are not a newbie, we are not inexperienced. We have knowledge that must be used right for the people. We went after traders)," he said.
The former senator also convinced voters by saying that in his 20 years of being a politician, he was never involved in any anomaly.
UP Diliman (Although I have been in the national politics for over 20 years, you never heard me being involved in any anomaly even once. I lived by my beliefs I learned during my time as an activist and student leader in UP Diliman)," Pangilinan said.
Pag naumpisahan ng mali, mali rin ang kalabasan (As a scholar, honest and true public service must be given to the people. If something starts wrong, it will also end up wrong)," Pangilinan added.
