Three drug suspects, including a high-value target, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Sta. Cruz police in Manila.
The suspects—one identified by the alias "Negro" and classified as a High-Value Individual (HVI), along with two others listed as Street-Level Individuals (SLIs)—were apprehended along San Lazaro Street near the corner of F. Huertas Street in Barangay 340.
Police said around 250 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P1.7 million, were confiscated during the operation, along with marked buy-bust money and other drug paraphernalia.
All three are currently detained at the Sta. Cruz Police Station pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The successful operation was carried out under the leadership of Lt. Col. Rexson Layug and forms part of the intensified anti-drug campaign of the Manila Police District, in line with the NCRPO’s AAA Strategy—Able, Active, Allied.
