A 23-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Malinta, Valenzuela City, on Monday, April 21, for repeatedly brandishing a firearm while intoxicated.
The Valenzuela Police Station (VCPS) identified the suspect as alias "Jay-ar," a resident of Dulong Tangke, Barangay Malinta.

Authorities were alerted after a concerned citizen filed a blotter report with the barangay.
Upon validation, police confirmed that the suspect has a hot temper and often displays a gun when intoxicated, said PLT Michael Dela Cruz, deputy commander of the substation.
Operatives conducted a search warrant from the Regional Trial Court, Branch 75 of Valenzuela City.
During the search, officers confiscated a .38 revolver without a serial number loaded with two bullets, found under a table inside the suspect’s room.
The suspect was arrested for failing to present legal documents for the firearm.
"Hindi kami magdadalawang-isip na arestuhin ang sino mang lumalabag sa batas, lalo na pagdating sa ilegal na pagmamay-ari ng baril. Patuloy ang aming operasyon upang masiguro ang kaligtasan at kapayapaan sa lungsod ng Valenzuela. (We will not hesitate to arrest anyone violating the law, especially illegal possession of firearms. We continue operations to ensure safety and peace in Valenzuela.),” PCOL Cayaban said.
The suspect faces charges for violating Section 28 of Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Law. (Jhoana Mae Delfin)
