Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. has been relieved from his post.

According to the General Order from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Buslig was administratively relieved on April 21.
“Pursuant to Section 26, RA (Republic Act) 6975, and PNP MC (Philippine National Police Memorandum Circular) No. 20-2020 dated October 8, 2020, PBGen. Melecio Maddatu Buslig Jr. O-08017, DD, QCPD, is administratively relieved effective April 21, 2025,” the order read.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director for Administration Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio will serve as the officer-in-charge of QCPD.
QCPD has yet to release a statement regarding Buslig’s relief order.
