CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas reported on Monday that the Holy Week or Semana Santa in the Calabarzon region was generally peaceful.

Lucas said 5,980 police personnel and 749 force multipliers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), other government agencies, and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs), along with 6,575 members of advocacy groups, were deployed to major roads, places of worship, commercial establishments, tourist spots, transportation hubs, and port areas for the Holy Week.
He added that the successful implementation of mobile patrols, checkpoints, real-time coordination with local government units, and the manning of Police Assistance Desks (PADs) with the support of force multipliers from other government agencies and advocacy groups contributed significantly to the peaceful observance of the Lenten Season in the region.
Lucas thanked PRO 4-A personnel and force multipliers for their achievement.
“I commend all PRO CALABARZON personnel and our force multipliers for your dedication and professionalism in ensuring a safe and orderly Holy Week. Your outstanding service reflects the integrity and excellence that PRO 4-A stands for,” he added.
