Bluey collabs with Sesame Street

Two historic children's television shows join forces to encourage reading

"Bluey," the Australian animated show for children, has made waves recently after collaborating with the longtime children's show "Sesame Street."

On its official YouTube channel, "Bluey" posted a video of "Sesame Street" mainstays Cookie Monster and Elmo reading "Bluey: What Games Should We Play?" In the video, Cookie Monster and Elmo share their comments while reading through the "Bluey" book, showing various moments from the show where Bluey is seen playing different games with the rest of her family.

"A Sesame Street-Bluey collaboration is the perfect way to provide entertaining and engaging content to fans of both popular series," shares Jenny Gioia, VP of Content and Programming at Sesame Workshop, through a statement. “We are excited to have Elmo and Cookie Monster encourage playful learning and a love of reading with Bluey Book Reads.”

This marks the first of many future collaborations with known figures. Future episodes will include Elijah Wood ("Lord of the Rings"), Michael Sheen ("Good Omens"), and English actress Helena Bonham-Carter ("Corpse Bride").
