Woman killed in Lucena City fire

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A 20-year-old woman was killed in a fire that razed an apartment on Easter Sunday in Barangay Ibabang Dupay, this city.

Lucena City police chief Police Lt. Col. Dennis de Guzman identified the victim as Lea Bautista.

Investigation said the fire started at 10:12 a.m. The fire was declared under control at 10:33 a.m. and put out at 10:48 a.m.

Bautista was trapped in her room and her charred remains were found by arson investigators.

Cause of the fire and damage to property are yet to be determined.
