The father of Thai actor and singer Fourth Nattawat (Nattawat Jirochtikul), who starred in the series “My School President” and “F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers,” passed away.
The 20-year-old star announced on April 19 the passing of his dad, Jutinat Jirochtikul.
“Rest in peace, Pa. I love you so much. You have sacrificed everything for your children and I promise to take care of the family the best I can, to be the strong pillar of the family as you told me. I miss Pa so much,” Fourth posted on X.

On Instagram, he also uploaded the Abhidhamma prayer ceremony and funeral schedule for his dad, which will be from April 20 to 26.
Fellow stars, fans, companies and brands expressed their condolences to Fourth on the passing of his dad.
Among them were Gemini Norawit, Win Metawin, Nani Hirunkit, Satang Kittiphop, Khaotung Thanawat, Phuwin Tangsakyuen and Joong Archen Aydin.
“The ceremony of praying before the body or ‘the Abhidhamma prayer ceremony’ takes place from the first night the coffin is brought into the funeral pavilion. It typically takes place for 1, 3, 5, or 7 days, but can continue for up to 100 days until cremation. Four monks are invited to chant this funeral prayer four times each night,” according to the Thailand Foundation website.
It added that the Abhidhamma prayer “is a melodic recital of the noble Dhamma and serves three main purposes. Firstly, it aims to dedicate merit and good deeds to the deceased. Given that the Abhidhamma contains profound Buddhist teachings, when chanted at a funeral, it bestows significant merit upon the departed. Secondly, by attending this ceremony, we express gratitude to the deceased. Thirdly, the prayer reminds us that death is inescapable.”
“After the last night of the Abhidhamma prayers, the body is taken to a cemetery, or kept at the pavilion awaiting cremation,” according to the website.
Fourth and Gemini held their "Run The World Asia Tour” concert in Manila last January.
