2 drown in Batangas on Black Saturday

Tricycle driver shot dead; Company driver electrocuted

Two men drowned in resorts in Batangas on Black Saturday.

Police identified the victims as Aldrin del Rosario and Michael Pacheco.

Investigation said Del Rosario and cousin Isaac Corocoto jumped together into a pool in a resort in Barangay Matabungkay, Lian, and drowned.

They were found unconscious and taken to a hospital where Del Rosario was declared dead and Corocoto was revived and in stable condition.

Pacheco drowned in Barangay Matingain, Lemery.

The victim left their cottage unannounced while having a drinking spree with relatives.

The victim was later on seen lying face down unconscious on the beach. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Tricycle driver shot dead

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon – A 50-year-old tricycle driver was gunned down by an unidentified man while parking his tricycle in front of his house in Barangay Capuluan Central here on Black Saturday.

Victim Mar was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The suspect fled towards a dark and mountainous area, police said.

Company driver electrocuted

MULANAY, Quezon – A 50-year-old company driver was electrocuted while taking pictures in Barangay Canuyep, this town, on Black Saturday.

The victim was identified as Jon, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Montalban, Rizal.

Police said the victim climbed a large rock to take photos of the beach but accidentally touched a live wire and was electrocuted. He fell and hit his head hit on the rock.

He was taken to the Dr. J Health and Fitness Clinic where he was declared dead due to serious injuries.

All cases are under follow-up investigation.
