WTFu by MR. FU: The Star Awards best showbiz oriented talk show host
At a glance

I had nominations for my TV hosting stints in the past at the Star Awards for Television of the Philippine Movie Press Club or PMPC, but this is my first time winning as Best Showbiz Oriented Talk Show Host for our show Marites University on ALLTV. (ako na ang may Star Awards!) I would usually cover their red carpet activities in the previous years, but this time, I got to bring home their iconic trophy! (name ko naman ang nakalagay!) It felt good to be with fellow awardees during the awarding ceremony recently held at the Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN. (feeling artista!)
On my way to the stage to accept my award, I immediately thought of Sir Boy Abunda. (feeling close!) Thanks to him, he is already a Hall of Famer in this category, which allowed me to win. (nakalusot si akla!) I honestly thought of just saying punchlines for my acceptance speech. Still, I had to say this line: (habang suot ko ang Francis Libiran suit!) “There was this time that I felt I was no longer needed in the industry, but Marites University came and made me part of the show." (buti di ako naiyak!) My deepest gratitude to MU, Scott Media, Yorme Isko Moreno, Sir Patrick, ALLTV, the whole production staff, and our certified Marites viewers. (worldwide ha!) Big thanks, of course, to PMPC! This will serve as an inspiration. (na-touch talaga ako ha!)

Special mention to my co-hosts. My dedication to them that night was: “Hosting Marites University is a team effort. I am sharing this with Jun Nardo, Ambet Nabus, and Rose Garcia, who recommended me in the show.” (pero siempre ako nag-uwi ng trophy!) This is also for all those who love and support me, my family, friends, and lovers. (oo marami sila! chos!) Thank you, Lord! Thank you, universe! (and yes, tuloy ang mga blind item!)
After a day, I had to leave for Lingayen Pangasinan to be a speaker for a career talk for students organized by Inspiration.Ph (feeling intelligent ako ha!) Thank you to my former RPN9 colleagues Therese Gallenero at Paolo Capino for the invitation. (parang reunion!) Other guest speakers include Business Executive and Educator Janice Alfonso and Senator Pia Cayetano. (nakikilevel ako!) My assigned topic was “Building your Personal Brand.” (may nabuild na ba ako?!)
I hope to inspire almost 1,000 high school and college students to achieve their dreams and aspirations. (basta mga bagets, rock the universe!) (Youtube/FB: WTFu. Twitter/IG/Tiktok: @mrfu_mayganon. FB: mr.fu tagabulabog ng buong universe. Patreon: www.patreon.com/wtfu website: www.channelfu.com
