The question of which players reached a pedestal and enough to be labeled as the greatest have long been polarizing for fans, basketball experts, and enthusiasts.

Feelings were offended and debates set friends apart. Great successes in the past were even deemed "not good enough".
But Wednesday, April 2, proved that old, deep wounds can be healed.
The greats of the yesteryears finally got their recognition while the best of the present time also received their well-deserved honors as the PBA formally named the 10 players to be added to its Greatest List.
Considered as part of the biggest snubs when the league named the initial 25 and then 40 Greatest List, Nelson Asaytono, Abe King and Arnie Tuadles are finally part of the legendary company, leading the batch of players to be inducted as part of the league’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Joining the three in the list are the only two Most Valuable Players in the past decade in June Mar Fajardo and Scottie Thompson.
Alaska greats Jeffrey Cariaso and Bong Hawkins as well as Danny Seigle and legends Manny Victorino and Yoyoy Villamin completed the elite group.
The 10 players were chosen by the selecting committee formed by PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and headed by former league chief Sonny Barrios.
The committee, which is composed of PBA greats, former coaches, veteran broadcast panelists and current and former sports editors, had a series of meetings and deliberations to come up with the list of players.
The 10 players will be formally inducted to the list in a ceremony on Friday, April 11, at the Solaire North.
