A chance encounter with actress and television host Anne Curtis at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 further solidified her support for the candidacy of former senator Bam Aquino in the coming May 2025 midterm elections.

A photo, which the actress even posted on her Instagram account under the “So MARCH fun” carousel album, showed her flashing Aquino’s No. 5 sign.
“Bumped into someone I'm voting for! (high five emoji),” she wrote.
This is not the first time that the actress and TV host expressed her support for the former senator, after she first reposted on X (formerly Twitter) a post by comedian Alex Calleja, who appealed to voters to include Aquino in the list of candidates they’ll be voting for.
She even captioned that tweet with a “Yes!!”
Curtis, one of the most followed celebrities on social media, also retweeted one of Aquino’s post on X about his advocacy to uplift the lives of Filipinos and to provide their families with more opportunities.
For his part, the former senator thanked the actress and TV host for her support.
“Masaya akong nakasalubong at nakakwentuhan ka nang saglit sa airport habang papunta sa kanya-kanyang mga flight natin (I am happy to bumped into and talk with you for a while in the airport while on our way to our respective flights)! Your support means a lot to us at sa ipinaglalaban natin sa ating kampanya (and to what we are fighting for in our campaign),” he wrote.
“Ipapanalo natin ang laban na ito para sa madlang pipol at sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino! Libreng Kolehiyo, Siguradong Trabaho (Let us win this fight for the Filipinos and for every Filipino family! Free College, Guaranteed Jobs)! God bless you, Anne!” he added, using “madlang pipol” as a reference to noontime show “It’s Showtime” signature greeting to audience.
Aside from being an actress and influencer, Curtis is a mainstay host of “It’s Showtime.”
Aquino has received support and endorsements from various celebrities, including Edu Manzano, Dingdong Dantes, Bea Binene, Janine Gutierrez, and talent manager and entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz.
He was also endorsed by Senate President Francis Escudero, Senator Grace Poe, and cardiologist Dr. Willie Ong.
The former senator is running under the advocacy of free education and guaranteed jobs. He also promised more support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) if he wins a Senate seat.
