
Four people were injured in a multiple vehicle-collision on Padre Burgos Avenue in Ermita, Manila, on Tuesday morning, April 1.
Injured were Jay Ryan Tordillas Parinas, 24; Rowel Capagalan Pabilo, 42; and passenger Janessa Millano Guevarra, 49, all residents of Manila.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around midnight near the intersection of C. M. Palma Street.
The first vehicle, a Mitsubishi Montero, was traveling northbound along Padre Burgos Avenue when it reportedly struck a concrete barrier.
The impact caused the vehicle to veer to the right.
The rear right side of the Montero was struck by two motorcycles that were traveling in the same direction.
The drivers of both motorcycles and a passenger on one of the bikes were injured in the collision.
The accident also caused significant damage to the involved vehicles and the concrete barrier.
Authorities are conducting investigation to determine the cause of the crash. They are reviewing closed-circuit television footage from the Manila Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (DRRM) Office.
Police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward as the investigation continues.
