A fire broke out at the candle station of the Antipolo Cathedral in Antipolo, Rizal, on Black Saturday, April 19.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at 8:35 a.m.
In a social media posts by concerned netizens, flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from the candle station area.
Responders quickly arrived at the scene and managed to contain the fire before it could spread to other parts of the cathedral.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Initial investigations said that the fire may have been caused by an unattended candle.
The affected area has since been secured. Further investigation is underway.
Church officials have temporarily closed the Candelaria Room and advised the public to remain calm. Liturgical services for Easter Sunday will proceed as scheduled.
