Is it now the perfect time for Kevin Quiambao to chase his NBA dream?

The young hotshot, who has proved enough of his talent in the collegiate ranks, with Gilas Pilipinas, and at the Korean Basketball League, teases his fans of his possible moves while on his break with the Goyang Sono Skygunners.
"A slim chance is better than no chance,” the 23-year-old Quiambao wrote with a plane and USA flag emojis on his social media account.
While there is unconfirmed reports of him planning to join the 2025 NBA Summer League slated in July in Las Vegas, Nevada, he could be the latest Filipino cager to shoot for a precious spot in the big league.
Kai Sotto and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. tried to impress the scouts in the past, suiting up for Orlando and Dallas, respectively, in the Summer League.
If the stars align, Quiambao could be the first-ever full-blooded Filipino to play in the NBA.
The one-time UAAP champion was excellent in his rookie year in KBL as he averaged 16.9 points, 6.3, rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals in his 23 games with the Skygunners.
However, his efforts couldn’t save Goyang from elimination after finishing at eighth place with a 19-35 win-loss record.
