Two men were arrested by authorities in Makati City on Maundy Thursday, April 17, after being caught selling dried marijuana and for carrying a firearm.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as "Steve," 18, and "Dixon," 26. Operatives from the Station Intelligence Section (SIS) led by Maj. Judge Rowe Donato and Capt. Dennis R. Fernandez apprehended the suspects during an intensified patrol conducted with Substation 6, based on information from a Barangay Information Network (BIN) about an illegal drug activity along Progreso Street in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo.
During surveillance, authorities caught the suspects in the act of a drug transaction and immediately moved to arrest them.
Confiscated from Steve was an eco bag containing one brick of suspected dried marijuana fruiting tops weighing approximately 995 grams and valued at P120,000, along with five sachets of suspected marijuana, P300,000 boodle money, and assorted cash.
Authorities seized from Dixon a loaded caliber .22 revolver with six live rounds and a motorcycle.
Police detained the suspects at the Makati City Police Station.
