More Metro Manila wanted persons fall; NCRPO to continue the hunt even during Holy Week

Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested a total of 108 wanted persons in a three-day operation that started on April 14 as lawmen continue to focus on hunting down fugitives as part of a comprehensive peace and order plan in Metro Manila.

NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin said those arrested include 10 fugitives listed in Top 10 Most Wanted Persons (TTMWP) and 33 as Most Wanted Persons (MWP).

“This high-impact operation—swift, targeted, and relentless—sends a clear and resounding message to all fugitives: there is no escaping the long arm of the law in Metro Manila,” said Aberin.

Since assuming the Metro Manila’s top police post in November last year, Aberin put an emphasis on hunting down wanted persons and the regular updating of those in the wanted list amid reports that some of them are repeat law offenders.

Some of the operations against Metro Manila’s wanted persons were conducted in the provinces and in the case of the 108 arrested from April 14 to 16, were conducted in several areas in Metro Manila based on coordinated intelligence.

The hunt for wanted persons, Aberin said, will continue even during Holy Week.

““Our security coverage for the Holy Week includes aggressive and procedure-based manhunt operations against fugitives of law. NCRPO will remain steadfast in enforcing the law, removing threats to public safety and security during the Lenten Season,” said Aberin.

“Let this operation be a warning to all who continue to hide from the law: your time will come. Our pursuit will not stop, and the NCRPO will remain relentless in its mission to rid our streets of criminal elements," he added,
