Iriga City mourns death of Nora Aunor

Iriga City mourned the death of Superstar Nora Aunor on Wednesday, April 16.

"Iriga City mourns the loss of Irigueña National Artist Nora Aunor, who passed away today, April 16, 2025. We are deeply grateful for the honor you brought to our city, "Councilor  Gigi Vargas said in a Facebook post.⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠


Also mourning the death of Aunor was educator Peachy  Moraleda. ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠


Aunor,  National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, died at the age of  71 at the Medical City in Pasig City.

She was born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor in Iriga City, Camarines Sur. ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠


Cause of death was not disclosed.
