The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 1,858 uniform personnel to ensure the safety and security of the public during the observance of Semana Santa.
The policemen will be assigned to churches, transportation hubs and terminals, major thoroughfares, commercial areas, border control points (BCPs), and law enforcement checkpoints.
The Task Force District Anti-Crime Reaction Team (TF-DART), bike patrollers, mobile and motorcycle units will be conducting round-the-clock patrols in areas known for recreational activities, tourist spots, parks, and residential communities.
Meanwhile, checkpoint operations will be heightened to ensure the safety and security of all commuters.
“The observance of Semana Santa is a time for reflection and prayer, and it is our duty to help ensure that the public can do so in a safe and peaceful environment. We ask for everyone’s vigilance, cooperation, and adherence to safety reminders as we work together to keep Quezon City secure,” QCPD Chief Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. said.
