The Muntinlupa City government will launch its Lakbay Alalay 2025 to help travelers and devotees during the Holy Week while the local governments of Malabon and Quezon City rolled out their safety measures to ensure the safe observance of the Holy Week.
Muntinlupa’s Lakbay Alalay aims to provide important services and ensure the safety of the public.
Stations will be set up in strategic areas in Muntinlupa starting April 16 - Pacwood (Barangay Tunasan), Caltex (Barangay Tunasan), Mary Mother of God (Barangay Bayanan), South Park Center (Barangay Alabang), and Alabang Viaduct.
Each station will have free water, first aid assistance, traffic support, and a help desk of the Philippine National Police (PNP). There will also be free blood pressure testing and portalets at Pacwood and Caltex stations.

Malabon City
The Malabon City government announced that it has prepared safety and security measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance of Holy Week or Semana Santa.
“During the weeklong observance of Holy Week, our city government has made preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful visit of the faithful to churches and other places of worship in the city,” Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
“During this time, let us wholeheartedly pray and reflect on the sacrifice of our Lord for our salvation,” she added.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with various city departments, will implement Malabon’s Holy Week response plan from April 17 to 20.
Staging areas will be set up in various areas in the city, particularly around 12 key churches, including La Purisima Concepcion de Malabon Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, San Bartolome Parish Church – Parokya ng Sto. Rosario ng Dampalit, San Antonio de Padua, St. Peter and John Parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Church, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish, Immaculate Conception Parish, St. Claire of Assisi Parish Longos, Nuestro Señor de Longos, and Holy Trinity Quasi Church.
To strengthen emergency response, six ambulances and four fire trucks will also be on standby.
“This Holy Week, we have made preparations to ensure that Malabonians will not be inconvenienced or burdened as they solemnly pray and deepen their faith,” City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete.
QCPD deploys 1,800 cops
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 1,858 uniformed personnel to churches, transportation hubs and terminals, major thoroughfares, commercial areas, border control points (BCPs), and law enforcement checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of the public during the observance of Semana Santa.
The Task Force District Anti-Crime Reaction Team (TF-DART), bike patrollers, mobile and motorcycle units will be conducting round-the-clock patrols in areas known for recreational activities, tourist spots, parks, and residential communities.
Meanwhile, checkpoint operations will be heightened to ensure the safety and security of all commuters.
“The observance of Semana Santa is a time for reflection and prayer, and it is our duty to help ensure that the public can do so in a safe and peaceful environment. We ask for everyone’s vigilance, cooperation, and adherence to safety reminders as we work together to keep Quezon City secure,” QCPD Chief Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. said.
