An auditor who has been in hiding for 28 years for the crime of robbery was arrested by members of the Southern Police District Special Operations Unit (SPD SOU) in coordination with other units at SPD and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Baguio City Field Unit in Las Piñas City on Monday, April 14.
The suspect was identified as alias “Belmin,” 58. He was arrested at around 11:00 a.m. at his residence in Pilar Village, Las Piñas City.
Belmin, an auditor, was listed as the No. 3 most wanted person (regional level) by the CIDG Regional Field Unit (RFU) 14 and No. 2 (provincial level) by the CIDG Baguio Field Unit.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Joven F. Costales of Benguet, Baguio City Regional Trial Court Branch 3 for the crime of robbery on June 9, 1997.
