CAVITE – Tagaytay Component City Police Station (CCPS) operatives arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the slaying of two sports utility vehicle (SUV) transport service drivers.
In a statement released on Tuesday, April 15, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as alias Junito and alias Rufino.
On April 7, a dead man was found along Tagaytay-Mendez Road in Tagaytay City. He was later identified as Dexter Roales, who sustained a gunshot wound in the head.
On April 8, the SUV driven by Roales and his cousin, Ruel Roca, was found in San Pascual, Batangas.
Authorities conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspects, leading them to collar alias Junito in Angono, Rizal, on April 12.
On the same day, the police conducted an entrapment operation to arrest alias Rufino in Dasmariñas City, Cavite. Upon his arrest, alias Rufino voluntarily led the authorities to the place where he dumped the body of Roca in Alfonso, Cavite.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of Tagaytay CCPS.
Tagaytay CCPS Chief of Police Lt. Col. Jefferson P. Ison told the Manila Bulletin that they have identified a third suspect and are currently conducting a manhunt operation.
Cavite PPO Director Col. Dwight E. Alegre commended the swift action of Tagaytay CCPS that led to the apprehension of the two suspects.
