A Scoot flight arrived in Iloilo from Singapore Monday, April 14.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines-Region 6 said the Scoot inbound flight had 108 passengers. The return Scoot flight left with 104 passengers.
Scoot has Singapore-Iloilo and vice versa flights every Monday and Wednesday.
CAAP said the additional direct flights by Scoot from Iloilo will boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
This also gives Ilonggos and other potential passengers an option to fly to Singapore for their connecting international flights instead of going to Metro Manila.
Cebu Pacific also operates international flights at Iloilo. These flights are to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Cebu Pacific launched its flights to and from Bangkok on March 31.
