“This is a significant step forward in ensuring a reliable and robust power grid for Iloilo City,” said MORE Power President and CEO Roel Castro.
The NGCP transformer upgrade boosts the grid’s capacity to 100 megavolt amperes (MVA) from 50 MVA.
It will directly benefit the operations of two MORE Power substations – Megaworld in Mandurriao District and Jaro District.
“We are grateful to NGCP for their commitment to this project, which will benefit MORE Power and the entire city,” added Castro.
MORE Power is anticipating the upgrade of another NGCP transformer that will serve MORE Power’s substations.
“This is a win-win situation for everyone. It shows that we are all working together to build a brighter future for Iloilo City,” added Castro.
