President Marcos will spend the upcoming Holy Week break with his family, Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said.

"Naitanong po natin at siya po ay makakasama niya po ang kanyang pamilya (We asked him and he said he will be his family). He will spend his time with his family," she said in her press briefing on Monday, April 14.
"Bibigyan niya po naman ng oras ang kanyang pamilya para po sila yung magkasama-sama dahil sa sobrang busy ng ating Pangulo sa kanyang mga activities (He will allot time for his family so they can be together since the President is very busy with his activities)," she added.
The Palace Press Officer, however, could not divulge other information.
"At ang mga detalye po ay hindi ko na po maibibigay... Hindi po sinabi sa amin kung saan (I can't tell you other details... We were not told where they would spend the Holy Week)," she added.
Castro said the President would still have some engagements before he goes on break on Maundy Thursday.
"Sa akin pagkakaala, meron din pong magaganap dito sa Palasyo. May mga meetings lang po (To my knowledge, there will be events here in the Palace. Just meetings)," she said, noting that Marcos might have activities outside the Palace.

"Ang gusto po ng Pangulo natin at ang direktiba po niya ay bigyan po ang ating mga kababayan... ng isang safe at convenient travel (The President's directive is to provide the people with safe and convenient travel)," she said.
According to Castro, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), led by Secretary Vince Dizon, has been actively inspecting public transport systems to address possible issues.
"Si DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon, naglilibot po siya upang malaman po... kung may mga overloading" (Secretary Vince Dizon has been making rounds to find out if there are overloading issues)," she said.
On the part of the Bureau of Immigration (BI), the Palace official said the agency was also preparing for the influx of travelers at the airport.
"Magkakaroon po, magtatalaga po, ng 48 personnel para siguraduhin na lahat ng counter po ay may tao (There will be 48 personnel assigned to ensure that every counter is manned)," she said.
In his message for the Holy Week on Sunday, April 13, the President called on Filipinos to remain resilient and optimistic amid adversity as the country commemorates Holy Week.
He also reflected on the limitations of human beings but reminded Filipinos that limitations and frailties are not a hindrance to greater causes.
"Like Christ, may we remain resilient and optimistic in life despite all the challenges that come our way," he said.
"May all the adversities that we face shape us into better persons, capable of understanding and charity towards our brethren," he added.
