“The digital library and resource portals make government publications, historical documents, and learning tools more accessible to the public,” said Allana Delgado, chief of the Iloilo Provincial Library and Archives.
The provincial library’s online presence is one of the priorities of the administration of Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr.
“The governor recognized that with the new technologies, our library should also offer online resources that the public can access,” Delgado said.
There are two separate websites – the official website (iloiloprovinciallibrary.com) and a digital library (iloilolibrary).
The library website has news, updates, and general library information. The digital library offers digitized provincial government publications and Iloilo’s historical and cultural documents.
These online portals have virtual reference services with real-time online assistance. It also features book-share that gives assistance to users who have reading barriers.
