Rizal Province to implement road closures for Holy Week's Alay Lakad

Rizal Governor Nina Ynares announced that road closures and traffic rerouting will be implemented in Antipolo City, Taytay, and Cainta to give way to the Alay Lakad pilgrimage on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, April 17 to 18.

Ynares advised motorists and residents to take alternative routes, as portions of Ortigas Extension (towards Antipolo) will be closed at the following times on Thursday:

Taytay – starting at 5 p.m.
Antipolo – starting at 6 p.m.
Cainta – starting at 7 p.m.

She added that the westbound lane of Ortigas Extension (heading toward Metro Manila) will serve as an emergency vehicle lane for immediate response to any untoward incidents.
