Three persons were hurt after a fire hit a residential area at Makabayan Street, Barangay Obrero in Quezon City on Saturday evening, April 12.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the injured individuals as Rene Santos, 16 who sustained a laceration on his right point finger; Alfredo Villas, 28 who suffered a laceration on his right hand; and Edric Mamarang, 18 who suffered a puncture on his right hand.
The fire was raised to first alarm at 11:23 p.m. and escalated to 2nd alarm at 11:42 p.m.
Firefighters raised the blaze to 3rd alarm at 11:56 p.m. and was declared under control at 2:50 a.m.
The blaze was extinguished at 4:00 a.m.
According to the initial investigation, the fire started in a bedroom on the 2nd floor of the house due to an alleged unattended candle.
Investigators estimated that the fire destroyed more or less P250,000 worth of properties.
