BACOLOD CITY – Three graduates of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUPV) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental topped the recent Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination (EELE) and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination (ETLE).

Classmates Jayvee Fuentebella of this city, 23, and Jan Frederick Valenton of Murcia, Negros Occidental, emerged on top in the ETLE with an 95 percent rating.
Fuentebella said he did not expect to top and had a good feeling during the exam.
He was elated over his achievement, especially for his parents.
“I give back all the glory to God,” he said, adding that nothing is impossible with strong faith.
Valenton also did not expect to ace the exam or even be part of the Top 10. But he attributed his success to the unwavering support of his parents and family.
Bryan Guillang clinched eighth place in the EELE with a 90.30 percent rating.
TUPV was second nationwide in the EELE with an 88.16 percent rating and No. 1 performing school in the ETLE with a 96.30 percent rating.
Sixty-seven out of 76 TUPV examinees passed the exam and 78 out of 81 ETLE examinees succeeded.

TUPV graduate Engr. Niele Shem Bañas from La Carlota City, Negros Occidental was No. 1 in the October 2024 ETLE six months after he also topped the April 2024 EELE.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said that 1,280 out of 2,820 examinees nationwide or 45.39 percent passed the EELE. On the other hand, 1,971 out of 2,411 candidates or 81.75 percent passed the ETLE.
