Rizal Police launches Quick Response code for easy access to its services
In time for the influx of pilgrims and tourists coming to Antipolo City and 13 other localities in Rizal Province for the Holy Week and summer vacation activities, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) has unveiled the Quick Response (QR) code.
Rizal PPO director Pol. Col. Felipe Maraggun said the QR code can initially be accessed on the PPO’s social media pages but will soon be posted in public places to ensure easy access by the public.
The Rizal PNP QR code, when scanned using a cellphone, will reveal the links to the Rizal PPO email, Facebook, official website, and the PPO’s Provincial Tactical Operation Center contact number, which when clicked, will lead to the number keypad showing the hotline number 0917-365-5979.
This reporter has tried clicking the call button and after three rings, the call was answered by a man greeting the caller “good morning ma’am, sir, Rizal PPO”.
The site also shows a brief profile of Maraggun, who is serving as Rizal Province’s 37th provincial director.
The launch of the QR code aims to provide immediate interaction between the public and the Philippine National Police on a round-the-clock basis.

It is during Holy Week that tourists come to visit Catholic churches spread throughout the province, including the International Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Antipolo Cathedral) in Antipolo City and other designated pilgrim churches in Rizal.
Resorts and conference centers are also abundant in Antipolo City and Tanay, two of the localities in the province that host thousands of visitors all year round especially during summertime and long weekends.
