Lover's quarrel results in accident, death

A lover's quarrel in Barangay Doyong, Calasiao, Pangasinan ended in an accident and death of a minor on Friday night, April 11.

Police identified the victim as Claire, 17, a Grade 11 student, and resident of Barangay Doyong.

Investigation said Claire and her boyfriend Virgil dela Cruz Layno, 19, a resident of Barangay Songkoy, Calasiao, were arguing in the middle of the road.

Layno attempted to leave onboard his motorcycle but the victim restrained him by holding his back.

He insisted on driving away and the victim returned to the roadside but was accidentally rammed by a black Yamaha Sniper 155 motorcycle driven by Christian of San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

Christian was subsequently bumped by a tailing Suzuki Raider motorcycle driven by Karl Nolan.

Claire sustained a head injury and taken to a hospital in San Carlos City where she was declared dead.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were also brought to the same hospital by responding police officers.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
