2 drug suspects arrested anew, P750K shabu seized in Rizal sting

Authorities have re-arrested two drug suspects and confiscated P758,200 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal, early Saturday, April 12.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspects as “Khalifa,” 40, and “Aljhon,” 32. They were arrested by the members of the Binangonan Municipal Police Station in Barangay Pantok.

Confiscated during the operation were five sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate weight of 111.5 grams, a P500 bill used in the transaction, two cellular phones, a motorcycle, and P1,100 buy-bust money.

Further investigation revealed that the suspects were previously arrested for a drug dealing and were released through a plea bargain.

Authorities also said that the suspects sourced the illegal drugs from an individual known as “Sadam,” a resident of Taguig City, and sold them in the town of Binangonan.

The confiscated items were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit.

The arrested suspects are currently detained at the Binangonan Custodial Facility and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
