Man wanted for statutory rape arrested in Las Piñas

A man wanted for two counts of statutory rape was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on April 8.

Las Piñas City Police Chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspect as alias “Randy,” 18, He was arrested on Diamond St., Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said Randy was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez of Las Piñas City Family Court Branch 2.

He said the arrest was part of the police's intensified campaign against fugitives and crimes involving women and children.

The suspect was detained at the Las Piñas City Police custodial facility.
