BYD wants to offer car buyers a glimpse into what it’s like to drive and own an electrified vehicle. To do that, it is bringing its Tech Tour to the Manila International Auto Show happening at the World Trade Center in Pasay City this weekend.
The BYD Tech Tour is a showcase aimed to familiarize auto show attendees with electrified mobility and its impact on the future of transportation. BYD will display several of its latest models, including the new eMAX7, Sealion 6 DM-i, Seal 5 DMi-i, Seagull, and Shark 6 DM-O. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore these vehicles up close and interact with product specialists who can provide insights into the specifications and features of each model. Live demonstrations will allow attendees to experience the technology firsthand, offering a glimpse into what it’s like to drive and own an electrified vehicle. The booth will also have interactive activities that highlight the benefits of EV adoption, with exclusive prizes from ACMobility adding an extra layer of engagement.

A highlight of the BYD Tech Tour booth will be the new eMAX 7 — a fully electric three-row MPV designed for families and everyday use. Built on the brand’s E-Platform 3.0, it offers a 530-kilometer range, 204 horsepower, and intelligent safety tech. It has a smart cabin, family-focused comfort, and intuitive features.

Key features include a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless charging, and BYD Voice Assistant. The smart cockpit offers various access modes including remote key, mechanical key, NFC-enabled card or phone access, and controls through the BYD app.

It comes in two versions; the Superior Captain variant (P1,748,000) with captain chairs on the second row and seats 6 in total; and the Standard variant (P1,498,000) with flexible bench seating for the second and third rows and seats 7 in total. With flexible seating and significantly lower ownership costs, the eMAX 7 adds value beyond its high-tech facade.

The eMAX 7 is positioned to attract buyers from both subcompact and compact MPV segments, particularly targeting young and progressive families. BYD also highlights its cost-efficiency, noting up to 85% estimated savings in maintenance costs compared to internal combustion MPVs. Preventive maintenance is scheduled once a year, which further supports a lower total cost of ownership.

Customers can experience the BYD eMAX 7 firsthand at the BYD Tech Tour at MIAS 2025, from April 10 – 13, 2025. It will be available for test drives alongside the rest of BYD's electric vehicle lineup.

Besides the eMAX 7, BYD will also have its other models, the Sealion 6 DM-i, Atto 3, Shark 6 DM-O, Seagull, and Seal 5 DM-i. Visitors will have the opportunity to sit inside and even test drive these vehicles at the auto show.
