
Members of the Cardona, Rizal Police confiscated a total of P1,212,372 shabu from two arrested high-value individuals during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Sitio Ampucao, Barangay Iglesia, Cardona, Rizal on Wednesday, April 9.
The Cardona Municipal Police Station's Drug Enforcement Team identified the suspects as "Niño" and "Arman," both listed as high-value individuals (HVIs) and wanted for illegal drugs.
Based on the police report, a concerned citizen sought assistance from the police after witnessing a shabu transaction happening in the area. The police immediately conducted an operation which led to the suspects' arrest.
Aside from the 178.29 grams of shabu, a .45 caliber pistol loaded with four live ammunition, several plate numbers, and other drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the suspects.
They were detained at the Cardona MPS custodial facility and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.
