Man shot dead inside house in Batangas

LIAN, Batangas – A man was gunned down inside his house in Sitio Altura, Barangay Matabungkay, this town, on Wednesday night, April 9.

Police identified the victim as Mark.

Investigation said Mark was sitting on a hammock on the terrace at around 9 p.m. when a white Toyota Wigo arrived.

Men onboard the vehicle approached the victim and shot him several times. Mark was declared dead in a hospital.

The suspects fled toward Balayan and police are conducting follow-up investigation.

Meanwhile, a man was stabbed to death by a neighbor due to an old grudge in Barangay Baguilawa, Bauan, Batangas, on Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Mezielle.

Police said Mezielle and companion Mark were walking on a pathway when the suspect, Dionisio, emerged from his house drunk and suddenly stabbed the victim. Mark tried to pacify the suspect but he too was stabbed in the abdomen.

Dionisio sustained lacerations during a scuffle and was arrested. They were taken to a hospital in Bauan where Mezielle was declared dead and Mark being treated.

Dionisio is detained at the Bauan police station.
