Mayor Vico tells city employees: Prioritize work over politics
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reminded all city government employees to prioritize their work, which they have sworn to perform dutifully and truthfully, over politics.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto
Sotto issued the reminder as the midterm elections draw near and local and national campaigns have heated up.
He reminded city employees that while everyone has the freedom of expression and is entitled to his or her own opinion, government employees must always be free from partisan politics.
He also reminded the Peace and Order Department, street sweepers, and other concerned offices on the removal of illegally-placed campaign paraphernalia.
Sotto said all candidates must conform with the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) guidelines regarding the proper placement and sizing of campaign materials.
He also explained the difference between Pasig City's Anti-Epal Ordinance of 2022 and the City Government's compliance with Comelec Rules and Guidelines on Common Poster Areas — citing that the ordinance restricts politicians from putting their names or faces on government projects and services while "Operation Baklas" is an effort to conform with the regulations of Comelec.
