Escudero backs Bam Aquino's senatorial bid

Senate President Francis Escudero has endorsed the candidacy of former senator Bam Aquino in the 2025 mid-term elections.

Aquino received Escudero's support during their recent meeting at the Senate building in Pasay City.

In a Facebook post, Aquino thanked the Senate president for backing his senatorial bid, saying it was a privilege to be able to work with "one of the best senators in the country."

"Maraming salamat sa suporta at tiwala, Senate President Chiz Escudero (Thank you so much for the support and trust, Senate President Chiz Escudero)," Aquino said on his Facebook post.

"I'm thankful to have had the privilege of working with and learning from one of the best Senators of our country," he added.

The former senator also recognized the role of Escudero in the passage of the Free College Education Law when he replaced him as the chairman of the Committee on Education.

Aquino vowed that if he is reelected, he will continue to prioritize legislation that would help uplift the lives of Filipinos.

"At sa pagbabalik natin sa Senado, makikipagtulungan tayo na tutukan ang mga mahahalagang bagay na hinaharap ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino (And in my return to the Senate, I will work with them to prioritize the important matters faced by every Filipino family)," Aquino said.
