Senatorial aspirant Camille Villar strengthened her bid for the 2025 midterm elections after receiving a key endorsement from top officials of Malabon City during her campaign visit on Thursday, March 27.
Leading the endorsement were Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and her husband, former Congressman Ricky Sandoval. They were joined by city councilors Niño Galauran, Gerry Bernardo, Maricar Torres, and Leslie Yambao. The group proudly displayed the “C” hand sign—Villar’s campaign gesture—symbolizing their united support for her Senate run.
The show of support from Malabon’s local leaders adds to Villar’s growing coalition of government allies as she continues her campaign trail across Metro Manila, focusing on grassroots engagement and community outreach.
Mayor Sandoval cited Villar’s experience in both the private sector and public service as among the reasons behind their endorsement. She also lauded Villar’s advocacy for livelihood opportunities, women’s empowerment, and youth development—issues the mayor said are vital to Malabon residents.
Villar currently serves as the representative of Las Piñas City in the House of Representatives. She is the daughter of Senator Cynthia Villar and former Senate President Manny Villar. Her platform centers on economic recovery, quality education, and inclusive growth.
The 2025 midterm elections are set for May, with twelve Senate seats up for election.
