Police seize P1-M shabu in Iloilo


ILOILO CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized shabu valued at P1 million habu in a buy-bust operation in Janiuay, Iloilo on Saturday, March 8.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Major Dadje Delima identified the suspects as Nok-Nok, 43, and Bot-Bot, 26, both residents of Barangay Bakhaw considered as a major illegal drug trading area in Iloilo City. 

Recovered from the suspects who were apprehended after three weeks of surveillance were 155 grams of shabu.

The suspects had been arrested before for drug pushing but were released after they entered into a plea bargain.

They temporarily transferred to Barangay Caranas in Janiuay after they were released and returned to drug peddling again.

Police Regional Office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky has ordered the IPPO-PDEU to conduct an in-depth investigation to identify the suspects’ cohorts.

The IPPO led by Col. Bayani Razalan thanked residents who provided information against the suspects that resulted in their arrest.
