In an attempt to make the Philippines a top film production hub, Philippine officials, led by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, have presented "compelling" incentives to Hollywood's biggest film production companies to film in the Philippines.

In an Instagram post, the First Lady said she found the pitch of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco and Trade Secretary Cristina Roque before top filmmakers in West Hollywood this week inspiring.
"Listening to our incredible Tourism and Trade Secretaries lay out compelling incentives for Hollywood's biggest players to film in our country was nothing short of inspiring," she said on Sunday, March 9.
"Their dedication didn’t just support my husband’s leadership—they championed it and elevated his vision to reality!" she added.
First Lady Liza praised the two female officials for redefining the standards.
"These women didn’t just keep up—they redefined the standard, proving that excellence has no limits," she wrote.

In a Facebook post, Roque said the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is committed to making the Philippines a top film production hub.
"Beyond production, DTI is taking an aggressive approach to expanding the reach of Filipino films, teleseryes, sitcoms, and other content in both global and local markets," she said on Sunday.
"Through our collaboration with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and industry partners, we are streamlining processes to ensure a competitive and filmmaker-friendly environment," she added.
Roque said they also made the filmmakers aware of the 29 trade attachés in 21 countries, which they can leverage to connect with clients and expand their reach worldwide.
