Man hides shabu in cigarette box, arrested in Pasay

A man was arrested as authorities seized P170,000 worth of shabu hidden inside a cigarette box during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Friday, March 7.

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto identified the suspect as alias “Lods,” who was apprehended at the corner of Roxas Boulevard Service Road and Cuneta Street during the operation led by the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Authorities recovered 25 grams of shabu inside a Marlboro red cigarette box.

The suspect is now detained at the Pasay City Police custodial facility and faces charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
