135 female job seekers hired on the spot in Pasay Women's Month job fair

A total of 135 women secured jobs after being hired on the spot during the “Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan Para Kay Juana” job fair, held in celebration of Women’s Month on March 7.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the job fair at Cuneta Astrodome drew a total of 631 job seekers, 425 of whom were women.

She added that 94 male job seekers were also hired on the spot during the fair.

The mayor said a total of 44 local companies and three overseas employers participated in the event, providing various job opportunities to applicants.

In addition to the job fair, Rubiano said the city government conducted a one-day livelihood training and distributed Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged (TUPAD) assistance to 200 solo parent beneficiaries.

She also mentioned that 14 individuals received certificates of eligibility for the bigasan package, while 100 completed the one-day livelihood training.
