The OPPO A5 Pro is hot!

OPPO is stepping up their A game with the A5 Pro.

The new OPPO device is built like a tank with drop resistance. Yes, you heard that right. You can casually drop – by accident – an OPPO A5 Pro and pick it back up as if nothing had happened.

In an early preview of the device, we were invited to Hadilao hot pot at SM Mall of Asia—not only eat, but also to drop the OPPO A5 Pro into the boiling broth.

Crazy times we live in, right?

The OPPO A5 Pro has a nice IP69 rating, which makes it dust and water resistant. It’s resistant to water jets and a 30-minute dip down to a meter and a half.

The way I see it, this is more about temperature than anything else. Phones tend to heat up during certain activities like gaming, snapping multiple photos, or especially taking lots of photos under the sun. This can turn many phones into a blazing hot pan in your hand. A phone like the OPPO A5 Pro, being resistant to heat, stands out because it handles temperature better. This resistance helps prevent issues like reduced battery life and performance problems, such as lagging, which often happen when a phone overheats.
