Far Eastern University shoots for its third consecutive win when it tangles with Adamson in the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Saturday, March 8.

The Lady Tamaraws, fresh from a dominating three-set triumph over the University of the East Red Warriors last Wednesday, hope to extend its hot run against the Shaira Nitura-led Lady Falcons in their 3 p.m. showdown, just as the De La Salle tussles with UE in the first game at 1 p.m.
Though a week-long respite is coming their way, Tina Salak wants her wards to focus on the challenge ahead when they meet the Falcons who have Nitura as their leading spiker.
“Malaking motivation ‘to sa mga bata, especially our coming game is against Adamson, and it’ll be a good game,” said Salak.
“So we have to stay locked in, kailangan namin mag-stick do’n sa goal namin, siguro madadapa ng konti pero tuloy parin,” she added.
The Tamaraws are facing a determined Falcons side that recently absorbed a four-set loss to Angge Poyos and the UST Golden Tigresses.
Gerz Petallo is expected to provide the scoring punch along with Mitzi Panangin, Chenie Tagaod and Tin Ubaldo.
On the other hand, Nitura, who is coming from a 28-point explosion versus UST, has fellow rookie Frances Mordi, May Ann Nuique, and playmaker Felicity Sagaysay as her supporting cast.
In the La Salle-UE showdown, Angel Canino, Shevana Laput, and Katrina Del Castillo should provide the firepower against Khy Cepada and Nessa Bangayan.
