Three people died, while three others, including two children, were injured in a fire that broke out at a residential area in Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City, on Thursday morning, March 6.

As of 10:45 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the retrieval and identification of the fatalities were ongoing.
Meanwhile, the BFP said the injured included a 29-year-old father and his children, aged six and four, who were hurt when he jumped down the stairs while clutching them in a desperate attempt to save them.
The fire started at 8:11 a.m. from a house along Sipeda Street and was declared out at 9:44 a.m.
Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the amount of damage to property.
