Losing grip of the momentum is the last thing Far Eastern University would want to think about in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament.

The Lady Tamaraws are coming off a two-game winning streak, with the last one against the UE Lady Warriors, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20, on Wednesday, March 5.
FEU head coach Tina Salak knew the competition would only get tougher as the season goes deeper.
She anticipates a big challenge against the Shaina Nitura-led Adamson Lady Falcons this coming Saturday, March 8.
“Worth it ‘yong pagod. Sobrang malaking preparation din ‘to sa upcoming games namin, especially ‘yong next game nga is against Adamson, motivation din sa mga bata,” said Salak.
“And of course, gusto namin i-improve ‘yong mga kulang namin today kasi marami parin kaming mga lapses,” she added. “Going against sa ibang teams ngayon, dapat nae-eliminate namin ‘yong mga errors na ganun.”
Salak has a slew of power hitters to man the offense ledy by Chen Tagaod, Mitzy Panangin and Gerz Petallo. She also has Tin Ubaldo, who anchored the plays that bested the efforts of UE main guns Khy Cepada and Nessa Bangayan.
The former national team member-turned-coach lauded her wards for being able to juggle their varsity duties and academic responsibilities.
“Kami lang yata ‘yong may ganitong schedule nakakatampo!” Salak quipped.
“Pero laban lang… namomotivate kami sa ginagawa ng mga bata, especially sa mga training namin lalo pag sobrang madaling-araw, ‘yong mga sacrifices nila… mas malaking bagay samin na makapagpahinga,” she added.
The Tamaraws hiked their record to 3-2 at third spot, standing behind the reigning champion National University (4-0) and the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses (4-1).
“Moving forward mas maganda ‘yong ganito ‘yong trend, lalo na gusto naming makabalik sa Final Four,” Salak continued.
“Pero ‘di madali ‘yon… malaking boost ‘to sa mga bata… but at the end of the day ando’n parin kami dapat sa goal namin, ‘di dapat mawala o maligaw,” she concluded.
